At Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, we strive to fulfill the Great Commission which calls us to "go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20, NASB) We seek to fulfill this commission from our Lord and Savior through active involvement in our Hands of Hope Mission Trip to West Virigina in July and through our many Missions Offerings throughout the year.  To learn more about each of these, simply click on the links above.

HANDS OF HOPE MISSION TRIP

Our annual Hands of Hope Mission Trip is a ministry in which we travel to McDowell County, West Virginia to assist Hands of Hope Ministries share the hope of Jesus Christ.  We have been serving in this ministry and making trips for over 10 years.

Hands of Hope (HOH) is about spreading the love and hope found in Jesus Christ by helping the people in this troubled area.  The poverty in this area is devastating.  The people are suffering.  There are homes without heat, running water, or electricity.  There are children going hungry who have little hope for the future.

Here is how you can join in our ministry with Hands of Hope.

  • PRAY

For the missionaries working there everyday

For people, for jobs, for clean, dry and warm homes

For children that they will have food to eat and feel loved, cared for, and wanted

  • SORT

Join us on workdays at the church to sort and box items sent to West Virginia

  • GO

Travel with us to West Virginia to serve alongside of those at Hands of Hope Ministries to meet the needs and share the Gospel with those who desperately need hope found in Jesus Christ

For those interested in joining us on the Hands of Hope Mission Trip, projects include:

  • Bible School

  • Common Ground Youth Ministry

  • Construction Projects

  • Hope Fellowship Community Ministry

  • Packing Food Boxes

  • Saturday Snack Sacks Delivery

  • Sorting Clothes

We would love for you to join us in this ministry. We are sure that if you go and look into the face of these children, you will leave part of your heart with one of them. You will then know why we keep going back.
